LO for the "Cricut Crafting Friends" Challenge thread on the mb

This was a challenge issued by Kathy over on the mb challenge thread, "Cricut Crafting Friends" and it was to make a lo of your furbaby or any thing else if you didn't have a fur baby.  Well you can't see our furbaby to well, but I chose this pic because this is what she loves to do.  She loves to go on the tractors and the 4-wheeler.  She is so spoiled!!! LOL  The cricut carts that I used where:  Cuttin Up,  A Childs Year, Create A Critter, Paper Pups, Mickey and Friends,  and Camp Out.

My Precious Grandchildren

Uncle Bret's turn to hold Lucas, cause grandma was hogging him. LOL  Remember you can click on the pics to see them bigger!!  Grandma just had to do a little bragging!!! LOL

This is my precious baby girl, Cadence.
Isn't he just the cutest???

Little Lucas

This is dear husband and I with the grand kids.  Yes, I'm a mess!!! LOL  But it was a hair raising trip in the down pouring rain for 7 hours!!  I got drenched twice and finally gave up trying to look half way decent. LOL

We went to see our newest grandchild and first boy over the weekend.  I must say he is the cutest little guy!!!  Of course his sister stole my heart almost three years ago and I didn't know how I was going to have room for another in my heart, but this little guy stole my heart too.  He is so cute and so good!  Well you be the judge for yourself!  Of course I just a little prejudice! LOL  But I think they both are the cutest grand kids around! LOL

Male Birthday Card

I don't know if any of you all are like me, but I really struggle with male cards! You wouldn't think I would since I live in a house that is dominated by all males.  When every one was home it was 7 males to 1 female, me. So why do I struggle with male cards???  I think I got a pretty good one this time around.  This is for my son who turned 29 the day after 9/11.  Yes, I am late getting it to him because I knew we would be going up to see our newest grandson, so it will go up with all the other goodies we have for them.  DIL's birthday was the day after our grandson was born, so everything is going up at once. LOL I used the lite Cricut cart Dude and Graphically Speaking for this card as well as the diamond plate embossing folder.  I decided to do a twisted easel card since I'd never done one for the guys, my only wish was that I picked black for the base instead of white.  Oh well.  It took me forever to get this motor bike guy figured out and many cuts later I got it.  It wasn't the booklet, it was my brain just wasn't registering it.  I get like that when the Lupus is active.  I had to also increase in size "enjoy the ride" for it to cut right.  Nothing fancy about this card, but I hope it screams masculinity!  Thanks for all your lovely comments, they make my day!!

Hello Kitty Twisted Easel Card

Good Morning my crafty friends!  It is a foggy dreary morning here, hoping that the sun comes out later!  On to my card.  This is a card design that I saw on someone else's blog while I was browsing blogs, but I didn't mark it as to who had this cute design.  So if you reconized it let me know so I know who to give credit too.  I took the over design and used a twisted easel base.  Use Hello Kitty Font cricut cart, the winking Hello Kitty-she is so cute, embossing folder, some gems and stickles, My Creative Time stamps and I can't remember where the Happy Birthday came from.  Simple card, but very cute. Remember you can click on the pic if you need to see a larger view of the card.

Another Tall Card

This tall card (4x9 business sized) doesn't have any Cricut on it.  I used only the embossing folders and the score board on this card, paper scraps and some SU pearls.  I thought it turned out pretty for as simple as it is.  Thanks for looking my crafty friends!

Spooky Twisted Easel Card

Hi Crafty Friends!  I made a spooky card for the Cardztv challenge. I don't think I'm to late to enter it. LOL  I used Oct 31 Cricut cart for my die cuts. Scrap paper, I used glossy accents on my spider as well as some jewels and pearls to hold my easel part up. I really like the twisted easel card, there is also a double twisted easel and triple twisted easel.  Can't wait to give them a try too!

Another Sophia Card

Hi my crafty friends!  I have another simple, easy peasy card, a 30 minute card if you will.  This die cut is from the Sophia Circle cart once again.  This cart has a lot of great die cuts on it!  I used some scraps from K&Co for the flower.  Paper Trey Ink stamp for the outside seniment.  A little bling for the center of the flower and a Cuttlebug embossing folder that I don't know the name of. LOL Sorry about that! I also did a little scoring with my score board and that is it my friends!  Hope everyone is having a wonderful hump day!

Z Fold Card

Not much to this card, but think it is pretty.  Although I think it need some leaves so I will add them later.  There that looks much better.  The rose is from the Sophia Cricut Circle cart.  I really like this rose, but don't know why they didn't put some leaves with it. LOL  I did ink the inside of the rose with antique line distress ink before layering the outside. ccThe outside and inside sentiment is from My Creative Time, the inside says Wish Big!. Told you it was simple! LOL  I am going to enter this into the SOUS for their die cut challenge of using a flower.  Thanks for looking everyone!

Sweet Sassy Diva Challenge

Sweet Sassy Diva is having a 9/11 challenge.   It is a day that I will never forget and I'm sure you won't either.  I still can't believe that our Country was brutally attacked the way it was.  It is a day that sent my son to war, my 19 year old son.  No mother can ever prepare herself for this even when you know it is going to happen anyway.  Now my son has been deployed 4 times, he will be leaving for his 5 deployment next year.  It is so hard on those he leaves behind to hold down the home front, my DIL and my grandchildren.  My DIL does an awesome job of keeping the home fires burning and let me tell you it is no easy job! I also have a son currently in Afghan.  He is MP and he will be done with the military when he comes come.  Other DS is a lifer and our youngest is thinking of going into the service too. They sure know how to keep their mother on her toes!!! LOL So a BIG thank you goes to our Military guys and gals and to the ones left behind to hold it all together!!!!  Another huge thank you goes out to all the rescue crews that fought so hard to rescue everyone when we came under attack.  We will always remember the ones who lost or gave their life in order to keep our freedom protected and the ones who lost their lives that faithful day.  Never Forgotten!!

For my card I did an easel card.  For some reason I struggled with this card and it didn't turn out anything like I wanted it too.  I just couldn't seem to get it together the way I wanted to honor 9/11.  But here it is.  I used the Stars embossing folder, My Creative Time stamps, computer generated sentiment on the front of the card, Stand and Salute Cricute cart for Lady Liberty and the Soldier.  Some pearls that I colored with bic markers.  Simple, but makes a statement I hope.  Thanks everyone!

Embossed 9 x 4 Card

Hi Friends!  Here is a card that I made using Sizzex embossing folder and a SU embossing folder.  I love the way it turned out!  I used colored pencils to color my embossed image and then blended them with a prima blending marker.  I used SU tiny pearls and some stickles.  I also used My Creative Time "Wow So Many Candles" to stamp my sentiment.  It was hard to get a good pic of this card as I waited to long to get a pic in the natural light.  Remember you can click on the pic to make it bigger.  Hope you enjoy my simple little card.

Couple More Cards

This is a gatefold card made using the circle cart Sophia.  I also used the bee from Home Decor but I can't remember where I got the sentiment from. I thought it was Just Because Cards, but I don't think it was.  Love the black, yellow and white colors on this card!

This is an S fold card.  I used Happy Hauntings for this one.  I also inked my frame with gold ink. Super simple.
Inspiration for this card came from here: http://stampingupnorthwithlaurie.blogspot.com/   Just a regular A2 card.  I layer white on white with a SU punch and embossing. My snowflake I spritzed with Glimmer Mist.  Sentiment is from MPS Winter Punies. I really like the white on white cards.

Diamond Fold Card

Hi Crafty Friends!  Hope it is better where you are at than here.  We have major flooding with 150 roads closed in our valley.  Worse they have seen in 25 years, some deaths too because of the flooding.  62 1/2 feet is expected to crest in our Capital of Harrisburg and they are ordering some evacuations in some areas.  Son #5 college has been closed, Son #6 high school closed, we have no water in the house but plenty of water outside!! LOL  So I can't do anything in the house, so I guess I will piddle in my craft room soon.

I made this card while hubby was trying to fix our well pump last night.  I have seen these cards around and never made one.  Well since they were so simple to make, I decided to give it a try.  I didn't get my little girl stamp quite right on my paper. I thought she needed to be more on a diagonal and she didn't. Oh well, decided not to do her over and just let her go.  I colored her with my colored pencils and blended with a prisma marker because I can't seem to find a blending prisma pencil.  The "peace" sentiment is from MPS Christmas set from last year.  I also used some stickles.  To make a diamond fold card you will need a piece of card stock 4" x 12".  You will score @ 2", 4", 8" and 10".  Make a pencil mark at the 6" score line at the top and bottom of your card stock.  Line that mark up with a score line and line up 2" score line with the same score line and make a diagonal score, you will need to do this with the 6" mark and the 10" score line as well.  Then turn the card so that the bottom is on top and score the same way again.  You will have two X's in the middle of the card with a side flap on each end of the card.  Clear as mud right?!! The diamond in the middle of the X's is the middle of your card.  You can find a tutorial on how to make this card at Creations with Christina's blog here:
http://www.creationswithchristina.com/2011/09/cwc-9611-diamond-fold-card.html
These are cute and unusual little cards.  I hope you will give it a try too!!

Gate Fold Halloween Card

Hi Friends!  Not much crafting going on in my house with a bathroom remodel going on.  My house is a wreck, who knew it would be this much mess?  But I did manage to sneak in my craft room to do a card.  Nothing fancy mind you.  I used some paper I got in a mat stack at Hobby Lobby that has all seasons in it, Martha Steward Dippy Goo punch, SU stamp set, SU corner punch and SU dazzling diamonds.  That's about it.  I painted my little witch girl with my Tim Holtz distress inks.  Not great at the painting thing yet, but it's not to bad.  I guess I need to practice, practice, practice!

To Tired to Craft

Hi my friends!  Just letting you know that I'm to tired to craft right now.  Having some issues with my Lupus, RA and Fibro right now.  Plus we are tearing out our bathroom and completely redoing it in a whole new arrangement.  So hopefuly I will feel better soon and get in some crafting time.  It is just a busy time of year right now and I'm falling behind.  Happy crafting!!
